definitively doesn't sound like a good idea.
dude, I just took my j30 axles to O'reilly's for a rebuild, and they we're able to get them back to me within the day (took them in the morning, they called for me to pick up in the afternoon). they even spray painted all the surface rust black. Costed me about $55-60 per axle.

if i recall correctly, the z32's are actually a different size. I think they're a bit longer by an inch or so... which makes a huge difference. good luck with that one

Why don't you look in the phone book and call around and see if there are some local shops that can rebuild your j30 axle for you. I'm sure there are more than 1 in your area you just need to find one. I've always ran j30 axles when getting the Z32 NA VLSD never had any issues and this was on 5 different s-chassis. As far as the z32 NA axles go, I remember them being a tad longer, you can try them out if it makes you happy.

i scooped the grease up off the floor (since my floor is relatively clean) and called it a day
find a grease that is the same type, or go to a shop that works on drivetrain and ask them i would imagine you are right tho, cv grease seems like it should work |
