Good/bad areas of South San Diego/Chula Vista area??
Hey fellas, been here coming up a year now and looking to move out of Point Loma and closer to work. I like the area Im in now, I have had no trouble with crime, S14 stays outside all the time and nothing has ever happend.
I'm just trying to find out what parts of San Diego I should stay away from since I have a wife and son and the baller S chassis. I deploy alot. Anywhere from 2-3 week missions to 6+ month missions. I've been gone for 2 months out of the last 5. I want my family to stay safe while I'm away. I have a gun..but I would much rather not have to use it ever O.o I've heard East Chula Vista is good and West is bad? But where exactly? I'm still checking out alot of places, but heres some of the apartments I've been checking out. Gated communities, covered parking and a few have an option for a garage. Sunbow Villas in Chula Vista, CA Terra Nova Villas in Chula Vista, CA Canyon Villa in Chula Vista, CA I'm really leaning towards this one in Otay Ranch. ALOT of my co workers live out there so plenty of car pool oppurtunities. Camden Sierra at Otay Ranch in Chula Vista, CA So fellas, pros and cons?? Where should this white boy stay away from haha.

Pretty much all the new development areas of chula are nice. That would be anywhere EAST of the 805. Between the 805 and 5 is somewhat "ghetto" and san ysidro/imperial beach is decently bad. Really after living there for all 18 years it isn't too bad once you get used to hearing sirens once in a while.

the places you mentioned are all good places to raise a family. schools are good and close to shopping areas. as for the baller s chassis, i don`t think it matters where you live. thieves are everywhere. a gated place is good, but a garage is probably best.

I've heard of cars getting jacked/vandalized in even the nice parts of chula vista like east lake and otay so really your best bet is to get a place with a garage.

East of the 805, aye.
Yes, I'm REALLY REALLY leaning towards the places with detached garages. They are cheaper than what I pay now also Haha

Year ago on 45 sidewall tires, badass 4x4 height and a front end that wasnt quite aligned right...O.o
Edit- Main reason why i dont want this bitch stolen....built SR20s will pull a premium 1 week before race wars.

Its better than mine. And ive parked mine outdoors for about 2 years now. The day i left back for spring and left my 1 day old jeep in the same spot, it got jacked. So sounds like theyre not interested in 240's. (they being thieves)

This has been parked outside for 10 months now. Had a dream it got jacked but returned missing my gauges and shiftknob lastnight.

Probably not the best idea to post what you have if you're going to be on deployment haha. I have my car parked in the driveway. Luckily my neighbors kids are a bunch of car kids with hondas that look out for each other's cars.
