i personally like both.
each have different qualities i like.
the 'fastback' (180sx chassis) is just different, not like a typical honda or anything you know? something about it draws you to its styling and design
the S13 coupe doesn't look all too nice to me, although when it's gotten that front-end conversion to the fixed lights, it looks sooooooooo nice
the S14s are just exotic.. totally different, unrecognizable and when you drive past someone, it always draws attention

fastback of course
It's just something about a long descending roof line that I've always liked in cars....just makes it look so sexy. Think about it...(for the guys) would you want a girl with a nice smooth ass, or one with with a square ass?
But almost all my favorite cars have a fastback appearance to them...'70 Chevelle, '69 Camaro, '94+ Integra, Datsun 240Z, Supra, etc.
On the other hand, I have seen some pretty good looking hooked-up coupes...it just seems it takes mods for them to look good when the f/b looks good straight out of the box.

I think the fastback looks a lot more modern than the coupe. And personally I don't think the coupe's back end matches with the front. It matches well on the S13 Silvia but a boxy rear end and round front end looks sorta weird to me. No offense to those who own the coupe version. I still think it's an awesome car.

I definitely prefer the fastback. I think it looks better, it is more practical, and I just prefer hatchbacks in general.

West has a point with the coupe, but in general the Fastback all the way.

Not only for it's side profile, but because the tail lights are a cleaner look. The lines are curvier, just like the rest of the car. My two cents.

both! i woant one of each i have the coupe now and i want a fastback and do a 180 swap. i think its cheapoer to make it into a 180 and alot easier than making my coupe a silvia due to the body panels paint and lighting.

but i like the coupe cause its lighter due to less glass.

but i still like tha fastback

i want one of each
and a 95-96 240 and a 97-98 240 and then get a classic se-r and maybe a nx2k and swap my 99 se ® sentra to a manual. and i will be done

wait im lying i want a s15 silvia and then a skyline!

and i will still be living @ home with mums and dad with hopefully a wife if she doesnt mind (yeah right)

In my perfect world, my husband will collect 240s with me. And we'll live with his mom and not pay rent and spend our money on car parts. (You readin' this, Mike?)

Why, square of course....I've always found Nintendo's old 8-bit Princess Peach rather attractive..

Fastback.
And here's a slightly different reason:
I have a lil sealed 10" sub.
It sounds like 2 12" back there because of the sonic resonation produced by the arc of the glass.

Oh yeah, and on long trips I can fold the seats down and sleep in my car (although I racked myself good on the strut bar once, ouCH!)

coupe of fastback.....
This can be a tough call. Certainly both have good points but here is my personal view. Fastback totally for me. Seeing in part I own one i think it generally has some of the nicest lines and proportions. Plus with some of the conversions it can be made totally to be like a monster of a car. S15 front with 180 tail lights and a nice body kit is the way I want to go.

i really like how the coupes look when they have body kits on them, but for the 91-93's w/ no body kit, just stock, i like the h/b's better.

i love the coupe still...i did expect the majority to like the fastback because when i search about 240's thing on the net all they ever have was fastback this fastback that...but i am surprised to see most of the drifitng 240's video's i have are the coupes....i think the 240 coupe without the JDM lights looks good..it just need one of those Bomex Kit...the body bein stock on either 240 i can deal with it lookin from the back...but once i get to the front...UGH...but theres room for improvising so i don't care and besides...it's a NISSAN...love it love it...
