rb20det running issues
Okay so this has been a problem for awhile now and ive tried a few things and can't figure it out. Here's what happens. First off it idles way high when its warming up. Recently got a new iac it helped but didn't solve the issue. After its warm it idles lower, but still high. Also when its warm whenever i come to a stop it wants to die, and i save it by giving it gas then it blows a little bit of black smoke out then idles back up. I thought it was my tps so i put a new one on it and it still has high volts when going to adjust it. So basically what i've got it boiled down to is its over loading on fuel and i can't figure out why. Would it be faulty wiring somewhere for the tps? or cas timing is off? or boost leak somewhere? Iac gasket? Fuel filter? Fpr is new and set right, plugs are gapped at .8 and fine. And like i said before the iac is new and cleaned. If someone could suggest something or help that would be greatly appreciated.

look on google and try messing with your iacv screw setting.

also another little trick is get some carb cleaner and spray it all over the intake manifold the rpms might drop and if they do or get higher you have a vacuum leak. |

I have done all of that lol. Except the intake mani thing. I'm leaning with the regulator. I never even thought of that. It doesn't like cold starting either so it all makes sense.

For the most part all nissan air regulators are the same. Just the housing that changes.
