S14 brake upgrade
I have a 98 s14 I'm looking to upgrade the brakes. I've done a bunch of research but most of it is out dated. I'm looking for the 300zx upgrade can someone tell me the most current/ best options. Any help would be great thanks.

Fuck no. how is info outdated? cars don't evolve over time, so whatever info you find will still be relevant.
go to google and type in what your looking for

Sleighty 85 I thought this was a forum where you ask a question and get an answer, not a pissing contest grow the fuck up! What I ment with my question is the info I have found is from 2009 through 2011 and I'm sure people have found easier cheaper upgrades over time so keep your smart ass comments to yourself thanks.

Searching and using your brain to read up on what is available is the best. All of your answers are out there, you just need to spend some time to read through it and find it. Obviously your some new lazy fan boy that jumped on the band wagon like most of the NEW ziliva members. This is a forum where you can ask a LEGIT question that has not been covered to death. If you don't like it, leave and move onto another forum that will hold your hand and spoon feed you.

FYI there is already a thread created earlier today by another LAZY nub like yourself. Here I'll post the thread for you and inside there are links where you can read. You do know how to READ right? Obviously you don't know how to take advice.

i went with the sentra brembo upgrade.......04-06 nissan sentra se-r brembo calipers bolts right up and use stock banjo line....and i used cheap pads stops on a dime....also went with 88rotors which is a vender on here that drilled them to 5 lug for me....
also 300zx calipers are good too bolt right up to spindle just need conversion lines 90-96 irrc 90 is 26mm and aluminum 91 to 93 is also aluminum and 93 + is cast iron q45 calipers are 2 larger piston which work very well rotors for 300zx are 30mm thick, 26mm thick for 90 model, sentra's are 22mm thick, 28mm q45 be careful as many people sell 26mm and advertise them as 30mm causing lots of confusion not knowing any better lots of people use the 300zx 30mm caliper and use a custom bracket to hold the larger 350z rotor... good luck most stuff isnt outdated....it just seems with the decline in price for evo/sti brembo calipers most people are doing that conversion that accommodate the larger wheel trend of 18 and 19 inches |

so they don't have Internet over seas? don't say no cuz I know they Do. this site is full of military guys including myselft so GTF outta here with that kinda bullshit we know what's up.
yeah this is a site to ask questions...NEW questions that haven't be asked and beaten to death for the past 10+ years shit gets old seeing the same question getting asked 3 times a week from some lazy ass kid that cant google what he Needs to know. if you did enough research you would have learned there are 3 cheap OEM junkyard upgrades you can do for the S chassis that bolt right up。 just noticed your from Florida......

i think google is too mainstream now these days. So easy to use yet hard to attempt using it. OP there are several upgrades in brakes. Just need to find whats best suited for you. Google for details.

Same old shit... someone asking a question that has been asked 1,000,000 times and get's pissy that nobody's helping..
here's a clue... You can use google to search sites by using the "site:<my site here>" command, like this: "site:zilvia.net/f Brake Upgrade" That will give you results ONLY from the site in the site: command. Good luck |

First off you created a USELESS thread about a TOPIC that has been literally covered EARLIER by another LAZY noob. You were just too LAZY to look in the TECH section to realize the information you seek (with links that I posted) is there. I'm not judging I'm simply stating the obvious. Not new to Nissans you say. If you are not new to Nissans you should ALREADY know the basics and know there are TONS of brake upgrades that other models use thanks from all the s-chassis guys figuring out the hard work. For example z32 owners know s-chassis guys can bolt up z32 front brakes no problem. As a result z32 owners can now rock STI/EVO Brembo setups because they saw that s-chassis got them to fit. You been overseas for 2 years in the military. Ok so you don't have access to the internet? Plenty of my close friends have served overseas and had PLENTY of time to go online and do all types of things while serving. Wasting your time? Your wasting your time by attempting to JUSTIFY your LACK of common sense and the ability to use GOOGLE. If you took the time to click the link I posted above to that other useless thread you would have seen the links I posted which would have answered your question. If your too "BUSY" or "LAZY" to do that, sorry I can't help you. Its people like you creating these type of threads that WASTE everyone else's time when trying to find the correct information. HERE I WILL POST IF FOR YOU AGAIN: GO HERE http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/464466...nt-brakes.html THEN AND SCROLL DOWN AND FIND THE 9th POST WITH LINKS TO BRAKE UPGRADES. One last thing learn how to use SPELL CHECK. |

our cars are at least 13 years old. EVERYTHING has been covered already. i got that. i think this forum should just lock new threads and delete all the useless ones. i use the search function and all i find in my search is ppl saying... "USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION NOOB!" in all the threads i've found. then when i finally find a thread that has some answers that i needed and i post new questions, the Mods lock me out and tells me "this thread is too old. please do not bring dead threads back to life." really.... y does anyone ever ask questions on a forum if EVERYTHING has already been asked, answered, and done? because we cant find what we are looking for and maybe we dont have all day to use the search function. just wanted to throw in my 2 cents.

I just recently put on some q45 rotors and calipers in front of my s14 and i love them. It was a direct bolt on so very easy.. It was my first time doing brakes and I didn't run into any issues. relatively cheap upgrade, and more stopping power from the bigger calipers/rotors.. I got the rotors from autozone and i got a pair of remanufactured calipers online. Painted the black with some caliper paint and threw those bad boys on.

He's Canadian, he gets a handicap.
OoOo, I know I'm in Florida, we've all heard that joke before... Seriously though, he bumped a 3yr old thread to defend someone that probably doesn't even have an S-chassis anymore.
