Radiator & Coolant Resivoir Q's
KA S13 for starters...
Radiator: So I have a crack in the top cap on my rad - was in a wreck about a year ago - jb welded it and made it from late summer till now, but now the pos is leaking again and I want a new one. Napa is quoting me around $200 for a new one, with other parts stores ringin in around there. My question is - just go with a stock replacement? I'm not wanting to spend much more then $200 (poor college student), and I have 210K on my engine so I DO NOT want a used rad... If anyone knows where to grab one besides napa and the like let me know... Coolant Resivoir: Ok so mine is cracked and shattered - just like 50% of the S13 community. What's the best way to replace this guy? Go down to nissan and pay 100 dolla for an OEM? There's a guy in town that will bet his first born that he had an aftermarket metal 'adonized' resivoir on his last s13 - but he can't remember where it came from. sooooo... I know I'VE never seen that b4, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Any other replacement parts besides oem that u all know of?

Yea when I first got my ka the Coolant Resivoir was shattered and cracked bad. I bit it, and just bought a new one, cuz i'm too lazy to go to the junk yard. I also had to flush the raditor 3 times to get it back to normal color.

wow...umm it cleans out your radiator/coolant system? Ever seen a car where it looks like some1 took a piss in their antifreeze? MISSISSIPPI SWAMP WATER BEOTCH...
erm, yeah. It's good matenance for your car. Change your engine oil, change your tranny/diff oil, bleed your clutch and brakes - then flush your rad. (snag some $10 skunk juice from O'Riellys to help clean it all out if your coolant resembles the above described.)

if your car is having a cooling problem - and it apears as though your coolant is about to spawn - then yes flushing your rad would be smart to do. Besides, if u use an additive, all it takes is 10 bucks and alil time.
AND IT'S JUST GOOD MATENANCE(sp)
