manual rack and pinion?
Has anyone seen a 240sx with a manual rack and pinion? My custom exhaust manifold wont allow me to run a oem ps pump so I was thinking of swapping to a manual rack or using an electric ps pump. Anyone done a setup like this before?

Search for "Manual Rack Conversion"

You should find a pretty informative thread about de-powering the rack.

I didnt have ps on my car when it was made. It has long runners(drag style) so the runners interfere with were the belt would go.

I'm sure it's for practical reasoning and he is running a large turbo...if this is true than having your turbo bang the hell out of your strut tower sounds like a bad deal.
