![]() The guide I have doesn't cover the lower harness and I'm tired of searching forums. First it's 1989 S13 5spd usdm chassis swapping in a S13 SR BLACKTOP 5spd- and I'm using the SR Lower Harness in the swap. I will be using a JDM cluster, so I won't have to swap VSS, trans sensors. I'm at this point in the picture. Only the circled blue 2 wire plugs fit together. The 2 in red have 7 wires plugs but don't fit together( do I splice the KA plug into the sr harness? There is no match on the SR lower harness for the yellow circled 4 wire plug,. The greens look like power and grounds, And so on and so on. What are all these plugs for and what splicing needs to be done.
thank you, your help is priceless harness & plugs by engine bay fuse box Your help is priceless Thank you

This thread has everything you need: http://zilvia.net/f/engine-tech/2930...ing-guide.html

The only "trans sensors" you need is the reverse lights. Nothing else is needed. This also does not depend on the cluster. Quote:

Then find where the wires are on the body harness using the FSM. You mate the wires on the lower to the correct wire on body using whatever mating techniques you want. Whatever is leftover on the body harness you do not need and can be left blank. The reason for this is because between 89 and 94 alone there were over 2 dozen variations of body harnesses made. Nissan moved wires around to accomodate options, and year to year as well as model to model changes were made. It's very confusing. I charge $50 to mate a stock lower harness to a stock body harness. You owe me $5 for online help ![]() |

I figured the plugs in my picture out today. Here it go's
Cut Red B off and splice in the KA male plug to SR lower Harness and match color for color, location for location, plug into Red A. Cut Green B off(single plug), splice in the KA 2 bigger wire male plug, match white to white. Ground the black wire or cut off. it's a ground. Connect Blue A to Blue B, no mods, black/Y Starter wire, white Alternator wire. Yellow go's to nothing

okay im going to help you alot... this is the best advice you can use...
USE THE KA LOWER HARNESS AND SWAP THE SENSOR PLUGS FROM THE SR HARNESS TO THE KA HARNESS!!!! Now with that said i have not done a s13 lower harness but i have done a few s14 harnesses and they are basically the same, starter, alternator, oil pressure sender, reverse switch, VSS, and power wire to the starter from battery... S14 Tranny Swap - Electrical Connections - s14 Simone : My 1996 240sx: Lower Harness is done dilli-yo! - s14 w/sr20det redtop This will give you the idea of what to do, but you should search and try and find some s13 manual swap wiring guide...

Thanks for your advice. I got it sorted out now. I checked every wires continuity on the SR lower harness and referenced the FSM master wiring diagrams for the 1989 chassis along with the info in g6civicx links, to find the right connections. All I really had to do was swap 2 plugs/9 wires total off the ka lower harness to the SR. by the fuse box.
thanks
