cheapest way would prolly be going ford 5.0 with a bit of nos if you can do fab work and all you care about are timeslips. it'll take a good amount of money regardless. i suggest you do some drag racing research on what is important as far as suspension, powerband, etc. not so much on here but elsewere. there are tons of good books on it. gl. keep us updated.

Three Type-R stickers should do it.

Or, to give you a serious answer... since these guys seem to think that it is funny to make fun of a person who is not interested in the same things that they are... you can go with any of the above motors like JVD had said. All of the nissan motors described above are capable of putting out enough power to get you into the 11 second quartermile range. It all depends on how much time and money you want to spend to make it go that fast. An sr20det dropped straight into a 240 will put you at about a 14.3 on stock boost.

ok i have a blacktop and bolt ons... yes i drift on a j30 diff... but i wanna spank ferraris... and doo it side wayz... i was hopeing since there is such a large knowledge base of motor build up here, that a 600 hp nissan would be easy and we might be able to discuss some options i might not have thought of... kinda ppls opinions.. ilike the spirit you guy's have..and what about high speed manji drifting across 3 lanes @ 80 mph my boy miah does it in his s14 but he has only around 300... i am talking with a shop right now on what we need to do...

It's already been discussed. You just need to do the research. People are only giving you a hard time because you are being lazy. BTW, what track has 3 lanes to "manji" across?

I hope you arent talking about Street Drifting. If so, look forward to PINK!!! Put it this way, Since we have a huge amount of Drifting Ferrari's and Lambo's, you will need, JP Pistons, Ferrera Vavles, Crower Rods, Built head and Block, Probably a nice GT40 something Turbo or bigger, Huge Ass Front Mount, 3 Inch Catback, and then Suspension. Other then that your a idiot. *a

KA...if I had to do it all over again I could have had a built KA for what I paid for my SR +/-
Here's and 11.45 sec 240 w/a stock bottom end..(taken from sfl240sx.com's Miami240) "Well, finally got the videos on the computer. Went back the following Wednesday with a little more boost to go for 10's but only got two passes, track conditions sucked, and my stock ignition wasn't liking it. Saturday first pass http://www.drag240sx.com/datas/users...ayfirstrun.wmv Saturday second pass http://www.drag240sx.com/datas/users...rday2ndrun.wmv Saturday third pass http://www.drag240sx.com/datas/users...rday3rdrun.wmv Wednesday first pass http://www.drag240sx.com/datas/users...day1stpass.wmv Wednesday second pass http://www.drag240sx.com/datas/users...day2ndpass.wmv" _________________

You should sell your 240 and buy a tricycle, before you kill somebody!

Suspension setup is still key as is tires.
Then lowering your reation time. Take your car to the track the way it is right now and practice. Once you've reached what you think is the limit of your car, then start adding power. I find it funny when someone has tons of power and then just rev sky hi and burout half the way down the strip because they have no control.

its people like u that fucks up zilvia and to the original thread starter and all noobs to come, be mature when you ask for help about tech info on s-chassis's dont post what wreckless plans you plan to do with your car because it just opens up a window of opportunity to get flamed on, you want to be an idiot and a wreckless driver go ahead, youll eventually end up in jail for quite sometime with a behavior like that |

As sad as this thread is, it's worse that this kid lives in the same town my shop is located. It's really scary to know he's driving around nearby and will probably cause a 20 car pileup, killing dozens of people and destroying property values for years to come.
