300zx NA diff n S14
I know this matter has been covered before and before I get flamed I have searched but am jus feel a little misled. I have a 1996 240sx se model. I am aware that the output shafts r different. 6 bolt (stock) and the 5 bolt (300zx). Will the 6 bolt output shafts which r on the stock 240 diff work on the 300zx diff? Any info would b appreciated thanks.

No. Open differential output shafts do not fit.
Quote from the first link for google search '240sx vlsd' "First I had to remove the output flange/spline from the differential (this is what bolts to the driveshafts). The bolt pattern is different on the 300zx than it is on the 240. You cannot interchange the ones from an open differential to the limited slip differential, internially they are different, so don't try it." ( Reference: David Williams's VLSD install ) Enjoy. |
