Turbo intake housing removal question
Can u remove the bolts from the back of a turbo intake housing to adjust for adequate fittment to intercooler and intake lines with out messing with the balancing of the shaft?

you should be able to adjust it. there should be a C clip between the housing and the center section.
take pics so i can figure it out for you. i've done it a few times with few different turbos i've had.

Well I loosened the bolts and it rotated around the center housing. I'll get pics in a min. But still not sure if that would throw the balance off. Thanks man.

no it won't throw off the balance unless mess with the turbine shaft.

Thats the answer I was lookin for. I took it off and was careful to not let the fins hit the side wall of the inlet. when people check for shaft play wont it actually mess with the balance even more?

the impeller doesn't care how the compressor housing is clocked.
