I just wanted to know what you guys think I should get. The OEM hood cost roughly $300 shipped, the CF hood cost $425 w/o shipping. As for the vented hood roughly $500-$600 w/o shipping.
This is the color I will paint my car and my stock rims will be painted gunmetal...until I get the rims I want.

I voted carbon fiber, non-vented. But paint it! It'd look so trashy with that color blue...actually it looks trashy with most colors IMO. If your car's back you don't have to paint it...otherwise, its a must.

Anyone know how well paint sticks to cf?? When its clear coated, or however they finish it? Also anyone know roughly how much weight the paint adds (standard # of coats, and clear coat)??
Edit: Also voted carbon fiber non vented <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':thumbsup:'>

If I got the CF hood I was actually going to keep it unpainted <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lookaround.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':look:'>
No one would know it was a CF if it was painted.....I just like to showoff sometimes <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

I guess I will go with the CF hood, but I might change my mind when I have the money.
::cough::cough::springs::cough::cough:: Wish I could get more feedback <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

Get an OEM hood. It's part of the car. fiber hoods are inferior.... can't explain it.... but i haven't ever seen a cf hood on any car that looked as good as the OEM hood. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> If you are concerned about the 20lbs that u are gonna save than it's another thing.... but i don't think it's worth it... anyways, voted for OEM

This is probably a stupid question.......
Can you sit or lay on top of a CF hood like you can with a metal OEM hood...BTW I'm only 150 and with a girl by my side thats 260 <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

go with the carbon fiber and paint it. unless the car is black, i think carbon fiber looks like shit on other colors
cant sit on it. it flexs too much and will problably crack the clear coat. --------so u are finally going to do things to the car <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':thumbsup:'> hope u got good plans that u can stick too. by the way, i will send u more crap for the web page next week. i got to finish the exterior section

I should get pics of my car so you can all see my funny wheels.. 205/45/16 on stock rims.. looks like i'm going off roading with all that wheel space. Anyways we could always use a stock pic of a red 240.
