contact automatically gives the lead car the advantage. (stupid rule) for instance, powers did a sick ass follow run in atlanta last year following the falken pontiac and took off his door. that was sick, yet it was still contact and he lost.

Yea cuz in drifting apparently you NEVER let off the throttle. That call against daigo in top 4 was fucking ridiculous. Its the following cars job to match the front car (if not drive better). If the front car slows down its your job to slow down and not hit him... but hey fuck it, just slow down tap him, spin and get the win anyway. Shit's a joke. And yes I AM a Daigo fan, but its not even just him. They fucking calls are so wishy washy. These idiots will watch two different pairs of drivers do the same thing and contradict themselves on the call they just made for another driver earlier/later in the day. Crazy. Half the time Daigo's advanced he shouldn't have other times he's the clear winner and get the loss... WTF?! And like I said that doesn't just go for him. It's happened to a bunch of guys.

Going back to the video I think the judges saw it as this.

Run 1 Major deduction for Daigo putting 2 tires off but not 0
Run 2 Major deduction for Conrad not keeping the action remotely close

OMT

Run 3 Minor deduction for Daigo for tapping the clip
Run 4 Major deduction for Conrad not keeping the action remotely close

Daigo Wins.

so a repeat of West Palm, where diago's only error was a bit shallow on the entry then throw huge angle still keeping gap btwn him and conrad. Then sticks it to conrad like cheese in a frying pan. yet it goes OMT 2 Times with the exact same runs

I'm also pretty sure RHD had a little to do with his performance on that track. That and there is no Japanese equivalent for Wall toilet bowl. I wish they would just scrap that track and move to E-town

E-Town sucks for events with 'a lot' of spectators (no permanent buildings at the road course) but the track is super rad. People's heads would explode if FD went back there...
