Moving from Japan to Little Rock, AR
So, hey guys. Just got orders from Yokota, AB to Little Rock AFB.
So how is the drift scene in Arkansas? Any good? What about the car scene? Anything fun to do around the area? Anyone post up some pics of what cars they got and stuff. I currently have a s14 converted to Kouki. I'm stripping out the car and junking the shell. I need to find a s14 shell somewhere, so if anyone knows where I can find a shell, that's be awesome! Well let me know whats up guys. Thanks. Probably see you all in March.

dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm anderson, no fucking way man
little rock cant be anymore worse than panama city where im at, its just alot of ignorant rednecks and to black r, theres no such thing as a loophole for that, car has to be 25 years old and do alot of paperwork its alot easier to strip and transfer everything to an american chassis

Little rock isnt TOO far from Memphis. We have a smallish drift scene here, but we also have a group that organizes drift events in the area. Next year we should have a schedule up since we finally found another venue since we lost the last one. Check out TractionOptional.com for more info. A few guys on there were also stationed in Japan for a while and came to the area.

Hey I live in Arkansas and as far as i know there isnt much of a drift scene that ive found im getting ready to try and start one around my town. i live about 2 hrs from little rock in Jonesboro... im currently in the process of doing a sr swap in my s13 and i just bought two s13 coupes one a shell and one with a motor that needs a lil bit of work so i have 3 s13s at the moment. It snows maybe once a year in ar. BTW. ill be on the lookout for a s14 shell for u.

Get ready to drive to go to events. For a quarter mile track you have to go to Memphis. There is also drifting in Texas which is about 5 hours. The only thing ar has for us is 1000ft and 1/8 mile tracks and autocross.

Good luck to you man! I am japanese american with dual citizienship and moved from japan to ohio for school and work , Since youre american it will easy to adapt again, to be honest the car scene in the states blows compared to what your use to. Get ready to see the land of knock off wheels, expensive old cars, and everyone is a drifter. I travel a lot for work and have been to AR a bit, I really like that state for some reason, maybe because I like fishing and stuff but its a peaceful place. I am not too sure about the car scene but good luck with everything!

the only problem i know of is the mechanics dont know what the hell there doing and if you break stuff or loose a tool or something as simple as that they freak a little bit but for the most part if you spill they make you mop it up. only reason why i say it sucks is cause we cant work on our car in the dorms or in any parking lots its gay.

Is there a good mechanic around the base area that knows about SRs? I have a spare s14 SR20DET that i will be bringing with me but it has a ticking noise probably from one of the valves. Or anyone around the area know alot about SRs? might needs some help when I get there.
