Returning to Japan in October (Tokyo-Fukuoka), Anything in Kyoto? [Photos from 09] - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

My job is sending me back to Japan for little over a week to take care of a few things. In all honesty it's just to meet with some of the companies we work with, shake a few hands, and exchange business cards.

I'm planning to make numerous stops on the way to and from the Fukuoka/Kitakyushu City area. However, I will be spending 3 days, 2 nights in Kyoto to do my own thing. Is there anything in Kyoto I should see as far as car related stuff? I just found out I'm going back this past Monday, so I've done little research.

I wasn't able to stop in Kyoto last trip (Oct 09), so I figured this trip would be a good opportunity to check it out. I'm interested in all the castles, and temples, but it would be nice to see a few automotive shops/stores if possible.

Anyway, I never got around to posting my own photos from the 2009 trip, so here are a few. Maybe some haven't gotten tired of photos from Japan yet.

Japanese toilet. I loved it so much, I got one for my own house... I'm not joking. lol

Used cars are so cheap...

This random used car lot out in the middle of nowhere had more modified 86's than I've seen at any of the meets I've been to. Everywhere I would look I'd see more.
