KA24de long block
I recently bought an s13 that originally had a single cam and the previous owner swapped it with supposedly a s14 ka. Swapped over all the s13 dual cam stuff like the intake manifold ignitor or coil pack and the distributor and I acquired and s13 dual can harness.
My question is how do i know its really an s14 ka. I need to replace a freeze plug that looks like it had been leaking and I also want to build the bottom end for boost. Dont want to buy the wrong pistons unless all the dual cam pistons are the same size. |

The location of the valve cover bolts is the easiest way to tell. The s14 has a bolt in the middle of the back lip of the engine, and the s13 has three bolts on the top of the valve cover.

The distributors are different. S14 has two plugs, S13 has one. Valve cover bolts are different. I believe an s14 only has 2 bolts in the top middle and s13 has 3.
Also, All DE pistons are the same. |
