g35 seat info S13 hatch

anyone have any input for this. i would like as much info as possible before i start hacking up rails etc. and yes i did search and search, some info but not much. all i can say now is yes they are much heavier but then again some/most people run subs/amp/boxes that weight down the car as well so seats being a bit heavy i think is irrelevent. anyway i just picked up a front drivers and will do the best i can with write up/mods being done etc if anyone cares. thanks for looking and you input in advance.

agreed, i dont see fitment being really a big issue i was really referring to the power seat hook ups. i have read that i stay away from the yellow harness which is for side airbag there is another connector and want to utilize the power functionality of these. thanks for the input.

ok so i took a bunch of pictures of the wire harness from the bottom and removed all the electrical tape etc...i believe i have narrowed down the power and ground wires that should power motors etc. i know im right or not destroy something but only way to find out is to do it. a bit tough to tell from the picture but its a picture of the harness connect, looks like solid red on the right and solid black on the left are the 2 wires i will be energizing this weekend to verify operations. did not come with headrest and i am finding out now that the release latch to fold the seat forward is not working properly. but i am sure that is fixable too...everything takes time.

Prepping G35 Rails for S13 mounting

Alright just spent a bit more time on this thing as far as figuring out the mounting/rails. Here is what i figured out:
Outside Rail(LHS): Front=cut the side supports on the rails so you can bent/angle the bracket/hole. Rear=Drill out both studs and relocate the bracket 2 holes positions back, which is approximately 1.25-1.5" since G35 rails are much longer then s13 stock seat rails as you can see in the pictures.
Inside Rails(RHS): Front=Do the exact same thing you did on the other G35 rail, cut the side supports so you can angle/bend the bracket/hole. Rear=Drill out both G35 and S13 mount brackets. We will need to use the s13 bracket on the g35 rear position since the bracket/mount is on the side on floor. And again we need to position it back 1.25-1.5" to achieve the correct approximate position. i just wanted to get this down on "paper" and out of my head so i can get some sleep lol.

If these don't have the memory positions in them and don't slide back when you turn off the car I find this very useless. Added weight and you get to move your seat slower. To each their own I guess

memory=i would say no since i do not have the proper wiring etc. i have not gotten to wiring it up yet but i am pretty sure hard wiring it would work find. Again we all add tons of weight to our cars all the time so another 15-20lbs aint shit. Sat in the seat much more comfortable then the R32 seat i have now. I am mainly doing this for myself and if it helps others so be it. If not then that does not bother me either.

On a side note why the fuk are you so critical, have a fuckin open mind. I mean isn't the point of us/everyone here customizing their cars to be unique or to fit their own comfort, come on...
