What are these tubes meant for?
I was setting up a cold air intake for my 1995 240sx, and I noticed the intake has spots for two tube connections. There are three going into the engine. I know the one going to the top of the engine is essential and I have a spot for the small tube. What's the other one for???

Assuming you're talking about a KA, the tube to the side of the throttle body goes to the IACV, and I believe the evap purge valve if memory serves correct.

Not always recommended for n/a but you can pull the tube off of the valve cover, and just run a small filter there. There has been much debate over whether the PCV system in these engines is even effective. But I'll let you do your own research on that topic, as it has been covered numerous times. If it were up to me, that's what I would do. Or just get a different intake? CAIs don't really do anything anyways, besides add some bling value.

The one going to the valve cover is for maintaining ventilation to the head and the pcv maintains ventilation to the block. You need both. Running without it is asking for blown oil seals and other oil flow issues. If you dont have EGR, plug the EGR ports on the CAI, you need iacv and valve cover ventilation connected.

Alright thanks. I think I'm just gonna go ahead and get an MAF adapter and call it a day since I already got a new filter. Getting a refund and going the safe route seems like the best thing since I dont have the expertise to have this thing work for me.

It's it's more that I picked up an intake that has a missing fixture and since this is my first car ever, I'd rather not just start pulling things off or plugging things. I'll just buy another intake down the road a bit so I don't fuck up...oh god.
