I recently saw a thread that is leaning towards this swap. I saw it and fell in love, but I did not see an exact price range for this swap.. Any leads on price or other swaps leaning to the price range of this swap would be appreciated.

You can get the motor for 300-500, swap kit off ebay for 1275. Minimum you'll be spending is roughly $2500, though a buddy of mine told me the swap cost him around 5000 and that's him cutting no corners, doing it right.

Drifting Kalamari

I'm doing this swap as we speak:

$700 + my running KADE for - refreshed '91 1uzfe bunged for turbo with all wiring and ecu, mounts trans adaptor and all the other pieces to mount the tranny and new stage 3 clutch, set of injectors for when turbo'd, stock headers and tundra tubular headers.

$200 for wiring harness conversion

$160 to change my driveshaft to 1 piece and shortened by 1.5".

$100 for new alternator

$100 for new 2core aluminum rad

$40 for brand new 3" to dual 2.5" tip muffler with no baffles.

$45 for 12V tachometer (240sx runs off of 5V so tach reads wrong...)

Now I just need someone to come by and do my header modification and build my exhaust!!


So $1,345 plus whatever price to do some welding!! No corners cut, just waited for the best deals for legit parts!
Usually it should be anywhere from $3,500-5,000.


Oh yeah, I need to add that you will need a sway bar to clear the oilpan. Whiteline and Sikky make great ones. I got Whiteline new for $160, average price is $300.
