Weld it into the downpipe? So you're blowing off exhaust gas? Fuck you. Doing it with the pipe off the car. Have you ever welded anything ever before? The Internet ruined everything. Everyone is all the sudden a mechanic and knows everything. If you spent money on a bov and don't understand how it works or how to install it, fuck you. Sell your car and do more research before investing in such things.

Ah, I bet you got the super cabin pressure version. Here's what you do since all these other guys are being so mean.
Step 1. select a location on the roof of your car for your new blow off valve. (HKS recommends placing it at about 12 inches back from the middle and 3-4 inches towards the driver side for best performance. They have a template on their website that you could print out) Step 2. Use a hole saw to make the proper size hole for your new Blow off valve. (1-1/4" IIRC) Step 3. Install using the most baller bolts possible. I think that HKS purple is recommended for best operation. Step 4. Enjoy your newly vented cabin and reduce the risk of fatal lung collapse due to severe Tokyo drift-ness.

Only if you use the Harbor freight version.
If you try to use a Dewalt or anything else it will try to cut in inches instead of metric shit tons and it will not fit anymore.

You guys could've just gave the guy an answer instead of being dicks. I know this is an old thread, but the time you wasted calling the guy stupid could've been used informing him on how to install his bov... i honestly came here looking for how to install. I haven't bought one yet, i'm just researching for when i do. I know not to look forward to zilvia to answering. and to the people saying "Google it" do you not think this is on the results? lol.

Its common sense Marcello...
Weld a flange onto your IC pipe (hot or cold, do research and pick for yourself), put rubber oring into flange, put BOV/snapring into flange and properly install snapring. Hook up your vac line, problem solved. |
