i'm chasing some info on what the 'best' tyres are for stretching? i've skimmed back a few pages and saw a bit of talk about different tyres running wide/narrow but its a bit hard to follow.
there is no-one who knows anything here in Aus so i cant really ask at tyre shops, theres only a couple that will even do it for me here in Perth! i'm looking at 225/35 on 9.5 & 235/40 on 10.5 the tyre shop guy recommended Federal 595SS as his top choice and best pricing. second he suggested Kumho KU19 as a more expensive option. What do you guys recommend would be most suitable for my stretch? i want to find the best suited tyre for it, otherwise the place i go is likely to wimp out/say it cant be done. |

Feddy's are easy to stretch.

falken and toyo stretch nicely.
federals are so so. maybe cause of the stiffer sidewall. all can be stretched fairly easily. opinion based soley on asthetics.

sucks about that tire, hahahahaha. Haven't had that happen to me. Guess it's a good thing tires rarely last me more than 6 months, hahahahaha, they get switched often. That reminds me, I need new fronts, fuck.

I've been there w/ the delaminated tire...Falken sent me a brand new one and my money back IIRC
It had literally 12 miles on it before it delaminated at >120mph I did not wreck

Quick Q.
I am running 18x10 all around In the rear, Ill be using size 225/40 and up(stock SR) In the front I would like to run 225/40, -3.0 camber Im not sure how well it will handle. Would this be too much stretch and maybe give me some neg. feedback? Ive drifted on stretched wheels, but never this much stretch in the front. I will be driving track events monthly (some daily), and I drive very aggresively (offroad alot) Just curious, if you think it would be better to run 235/40 up front. and so this post isnt completely useless: 18x10 255/40/18
