Dropping a 97' s14 VLSD in an 89' s13
I picked up a VLSD out of a 97' s14 off of Craigslist for $75 to drop In my s13 and get rid of my one wheel peels. Before I bolt up the drive shaft after my 5 speed swap, I'm wondering what exactly will need to be done for the VLSD to be dropped in. I already know about swapping the covers, but is there anything else I need to know?

you will most likely need to shave down one of your output shafts as your S13 is 6 bolt axles and S14s with LSD are 5 bolt. One output shaft is longer than the other in an open diff, which will require shaving to make it fit correctly.
you should really sell the VLSD and purchase an HLSD from an S15 with output shafts (which are required due to spline count). ANY VLSD from the 90s is going to be damn near worn out and there is no way to service them. HLSD never wears out as it is 100% gear based. THREAD LOCKED!
