Swapped KAs

I recently blew my old KA

But thanks to a buddy of mine I was one for a decent price.
Mind you me and some friends were drunk when we dropped it in
But everything is plugged in and seems fine, now for the issue

Car won't fire up nor idle.
I'm getting fuel, I'm getting spar and I also timed the dizzy at TDC.

I got it to spark and fire but only with the throttle at WOT. Any ideas?

Chassis and motor 13 or 14?

Was this a long block or complete motor? Did it run for your buddy, or did he just have it laying around?

I'd start with MAF and TPS, just because that's where ive found gremlins in the past...

s14 motor in a S14 chassis,
& it ran fine for my buddy. Even pulled on my old KA lol

Idk it's weird. I'm getting spark....I'm getting fuel also.

Seems like its out of timing even when I do time it :/

Ill be checking the tps & Maf today. Think it might be the iacv?

Installs engine in car while drunk; Wonders why it won't work.

^^Excellent idea!^^

If the grounds are good, have your friends come back over, get good & drunk and then take another look

But seriously, verify your fuel lines aren't leaking, check all vacuum lines, connectors etc... Sounds to me like something simple but vital isn't connected if it ran fine in your drinking buddy's car.

Word to the wise: Some things are better left unsaid lol

Check that you didn't reverse your fuel lines. I think that would do it.

This is a good one, on my first swap I was connecting the lines reversed. Was corrected by a SOBER buddy .
