Can't Drive My 240sx
WASUP! holla to everybody at zilvia forums just recently got my 95 240sx, so happy! hate to ask for help on my first post, but i have a big problem. MY CAR CAN'T MOVE. i don't know if my clutch is gone or the master cylinder or the slave cylinder. this is what happened, i was on the freeway, going at about 60mph in fouth gear. then i up shift into fifth gear, and all of a sudden my rpm's just shot into redline. at that moment i just step on the clutch so that the rpm would drop, and it did, but the strange thing is that the clutch pedal was stuck to the floor and would not return to its normal position. so i had to pull over on the shoulder to try to make it normal again, and i did, but the clutch feels weak and when i start the car and try to get it into gear, i was unable to do so. also the clutch feels weird, it has a rough feeling when i try to engage the clutch. Does anyone know what is wrong with my car, because i really want to dirive my 240sx again. thanks

Check your clutch master cylinder...
Slave cylinder and if those 2 are fine..... Check your ball pivot in your transmission (requires pulling tranny completely. Last summer i was on my way to work inthe morning. Stopped at a red light, light turned green i hit first, shifted to second and after i shifted the clutch shot to the floor. Thought i blew my clutch cause it had already been slipping like crazy....Did my clutch etc. but couldnt get any pressure in the pedal...finally realized what was wrong. My ball pivot snapped in half. Ball pivot being a threaded end with a ball on top, your clutch form pivots on it releasing the throwout bearing. If it wasnt 4am id open up the FSM and post a picture but its late.
