They're actually oversized Valves from BC.

Haven't updated this build in awhile but its still moving a long. I did have other projects that need to get done first. This KA-T build will be slow as other parts are being put together and setup finalized. Below are some updates...

Picked up a more deserving shell for the motorset.

Some other supporting mods.. Greddy Type-R BOV and Q45 TB

Ford Lighthing MAF..

Went to the junkyard and found some Isuzu COilpacks I can use and Quest Alternator.

Found a deal on a new Greddy PE muffler for a Supra.. Will be using custom catback piping.

Also Added some BC 264 BC Cams on the list.. Found a nice deal for this as well.

ANother deal found and added to the list GTR Spec monter intercooler. Custom IC piping and mounts will be needed. Damn core is heavy AF..

SR ECU Conversion Prep work...

SR harness layed out..

Clipped some KA connectors and other that needs to go to the SR Harness.

Almost finished product..

The shell is an 89 chassis so needed to add consult port straigh from the harness.

Finally the SR ECU that will need a daugtherboard..

KA to SR CAS Conversion..

KA disc on the left and SR on the right.

SR CAS Disc installed..

Found an awesome deal as well for VG/RB hybrid tranny.. No tranny adapter required here to bolt to the KA. Regular drill would do..

RB Bellhousing and VG rear tranny.

KA trans plate linedup..

Few holes to notch..

Sr cas on a ka? I ddnt even know that was possible! I love my sr but boosting my old dual cam was my first dream! Best of luckman!

Currently still debating on the Ignition system to used since they're all nice and just have to weight out the pros and cons. I have collected below and will be posting pics shortly..

Ignition Choices

Option 1 " Isuzu Coilpacks "
Pros: Fairly cheap and can produce a decent spark for high HP Application. Uses the same ignition timing and easier to wire.
Cons: Requires some fab work to be able to mount the coils to the Valve cover. Not a very clean look but otherwise work well.

Option 2 " CBR / AEM Coils "
Pros: Really clean look and simple wiring. Did I mention its cheap on eBay.
Cons: Wont be able to support the same HP as the other options but still within a good WHP limit.

Option 3 " LSx Coilpacks "
Pros: Cheap and widely used by most tuners. Will support some really good high HP application.
Cons: Require some more wiring work and fab work for remote mounting the coils.

Since they're all cheap I ended up picking up parts for all 3 till I finally decide which to go. Currently this is how I rate them.

- LSx / GM Coilpacks - Better
- Isuzu Coilpacks - Best
- CBR/Aem Coilpacks - Good

Thanks! Very possible and been done several times. Just not a very popular option since most will run standalone EMS at high hp application. I'll post some pics of the finished product by adding an Excessive Manufacturing cover on it.

FYI a rb25 tranny will bolt on with those 2 hole drilled ... but the shifter position is more forward ... we had to cut the tunnel abit and not run a shifter bezel on my friend car !!!

Since your friend is using the regular RB25 tranny you will need to do exactly what you said. I'm using the VG30 rear which is internally the same but has a different shifter style. I will also be using shiter bracket relocation from Excessive Manufacturing..

p.s: just finished the rebuild (stock ka spec rebuild kit) and i want to know if it's safe to install turbo to non-forged internal engine. if it's safe, what kinda of turbo you'd recommend?

^asking the wrong questions

you should find out what type of driving you plan on doing, then select your turbo. Here I made a video that is going to scare you...

I won't go into details, because honnestly.. I don't know everything, but the first thing I know is to take your time. Read lots, read more... then read a bunch more.. then ask a question.

I'll give you a tip. The easy way to achieve the HP goal you have in mind is to find someone that has done it, and has reliably kept the car running at that stage for a few years.... then copy the ish out of his build. Sure it will be un-original, but who are you trying to impress? yourself or a bunch of hellaflush/murdered out/2 fast 2 furous/ whatever fanboys that are raging on about.

note: if you wanted to turbo safely, you should have installed lower compression pistons, and anything over 300hp, you should have also installed aftermarket rods. I have crower, but many people have had success with Eagle.

I'm using a home made Poly Urethane mounts to sit the motor lower and I may even still need to uses hood spacers. From what I can tell that mounts should do it but we shall see. I'll post some pics later this evening for the mounts.

Looks real nice man! I'm just starting up my KA24DET build and i was told to stay away from isis. Im not sure how much you paid for the isis turbo manifold but megan makes a nice one for around 180$ but keep up the good work!
