The Silvia S14 Build
The car was pretty original besides ugly bbs wheels, blitz bov, blitz intake and splitfire ignition packs. Last edited by skouki; 11-09-2019 at 08:41 AM.. |

Received my powered by max coilovers and tie rods. Out with the old Tein HA
Upgraded the stock intercooler to a cx racing kit with hks flange Installation was pretty straight forward Just to be safe, i purchased an aem wideband, oil pressure and boost gauge. Was a good thing as my fuel pump was on its way out, causing low air fuel ratios Right away I ordered a new walbro 255, sard fuel pressure regulator and a decided to also get an hks adjustable wastegate actuator. Around the same time, I found a good deal on a set of work xd9. Specs are 18x10 et 18 all around. Test fit them, and found out that they were super close to my front coilover Instead of bolt on spacers, I decided to go with arp extended studs and use a 10mm slip on spacer After working on the car a bit, a noticed the tension rods were oozing grease, so of course I upgraded to powered by max rods. Along with my order, I also purchased their oil filter relocate kit. Also purchased a powered by max oil filter relocate Last edited by skouki; 06-08-2016 at 09:47 PM.. |

While having the car under the knife, I figured it would be in my best interest to tuck the wiring harness.
The car was out of commission for quite some time but it was worth it Shortly after having the car back on the road, I found a good deal on some recaro confetti seats Last edited by skouki; 11-30-2019 at 07:06 PM.. |

Over winter I acquired more parts
personal grinta blue suede wheel with burnt titanium hardware Nrg Slim hum and quick release ARC Titan Shift knob for all those jdm points By this time, winter was over and I was able to take it out of storage I only drove the car for a couple weeks, and it was back under the knife Winter parts stock Powered by max toe arms, rucas, traction rods and solid subframe bushings Also ordered GKTECH solid diff bushings and the CTSV calipers for my big brake kit Collection of parts I still needed to install or am stock piling Once I had eveything, the car went up on jack stands first off was the the apexi dual n1 exhaust and than the subframe Bought some new air tools as they were on sale for a great price Cleaned up the underside and coated in rock guard. Still not completely done Removing the hub from the knuckle was a huge pain but needed to be done. Hub was than brushed down and painted with tremclaud Same was done to the axles I sent the subframe away to get powdercoated and it turned out perfect I am still waiting on the powered by max drop knuckles and control arms. The build is currently up to date Last edited by skouki; 11-09-2019 at 08:44 AM.. |

This post has nothing to do with my silvia build but I thought i'd share it anyways.
I purchased a perfect condition 2012 Mitsubishi Evo gsr with only 12k miles on it. This car will not be modified beyond a new wheel setup as its my new daily Last edited by skouki; 11-30-2019 at 07:06 PM.. |

My drop knuckles and sway bar links showed up today. Not sure why my RLCA's didn't show up but it says they are still in transit

Really interested in your seat set up. It would be perfect for my car. What model are the seats? What kind of sliders did you use? How do they fit in the car? What is the seating position like compared to stock?

Recaro Srd i believe and they are on recaro rails for an s14. Fit well and are lower than stock.
Ripped into the diff tonight. Not sure how well shimming a vlsd is going to work but so im going to test it out. I'm putting in 2 0.8"" shims in hopes it will act as a 2-way. Tonight progress is at a stand still as my impact wont bust these bolts free. Going to use a larger one tomorrow Cleaned up the diff and shafts with a wire wheel then laid a coat of tremclaud to freshen them up |
