VLSD only came with HICAS, which only came on the fastback.
Which you would have known if you weren't a lazy fuck.

I swapped clusters before, made my own harness. I wouldn't do it agian. I went analog to digi. digi to analog will leave a usless projector or a gapping hole in your dash.
EDIT: ohhh the cluster also costed me 75 from a junk yard. |

R240NA is right (as he damn near always is when it comes to S-Chassis questions) about S13s and LSD/HICAS, and to address the HUD/analog cluster issue, my car is a SOHC --> twincam + auto --> 5-speed + HUD --> analog car, and in my case, all that was needed (as it relates to the topic at hand) was the clusters and speed sensors, ZERO problems, except that my speedo is about 5mph off below 50 and 8mph off over it, but that is minor.

VLSD came with all HICAS models, but was also available from the factory as an option. My '90 base model coupe had nothing but VLSD. No PW, PL, SNRF, or AC, but has VLSD from the factory.

Over here in Canada 1992 and up LE coupes came with a LSD. When I bought mine it came with one and I bought it from an old man that never changed anything since he had it new, I also have the leather seats and the heads up display. I'm wondering if it's different here in Canada than the US as to which ones came LSD or not?

Owned how?
I'm willing to believe that according to my window sticker the guy purchased an LSD from a HICAS model from the dealer and had it installed at the time of sale. So if that isn't a dealer option, what is it? Oh, didn't realize there are so many e-tards here on Zilvia. Sort of a shame, considering how much good information there is here. |

not from nissan factory, not as an independent dealer. factory option and dealer option is very different
and smart guy, there was no HICAS in 1990. HCIAS = 91+ it was added after the car was initially sold. thats what they are taking about |

returning from the jackassery and moron posting
original poster lsd most likely NOT unless swapped in later some some canuck car as far as cluster goes if you have SOHC get SOCH cluster, if you have DOHC, get DOHC keep it easy you jus tneed cluster and theharness w/ it. remove and replace. takes no more then 30 mins. most of the time takes geting the cluster out. its easy though. |
