Hey, I would rather it be my Niners, but if it means we won't have Tim Tebow jammed up our asses every Sunday I can accept it.
Tebow should probably go ahead and start his televangelism/political careers now

I seriously worry about Peyton’s surgically repaired neck in Denver, and that is being totally honest. They lack the receivers that Peyton will need and only barely have the run game. I guess a defense that kept Tebow in striking distance will be even better for Peyton, but his lack of mobility will require that they make some major moves in the interest of keeping him upright and therefore out of a wheelchair

I would have preferred he go to the Dolphins (pre Marshall trade) or the 49ers.

Guess the Denver $$$ was too good to pass up. Good luck with that O-line.
I guess this means Smith back to SF and Tebow taking his talents to south beach? LOL, this whole sit. has been a fucking mess for everyone besides Manning. |

According to Peter King the reason he didn't go to the Titans because he would be turned off by the the media circus it would become. The reason for not choosing 49ers is that Super Bowl or bust would of bugged him. https://twitter.com/SI_PeterKing/sta...00552211021824 |

Peter King is a fucking idiot.
I'd take anything he posts with a truckload of salt. Proof. Peter King invents, then squashes Brett Favre-to-Texans rumor - Shutdown Corner - NFL*Blog - Yahoo! Sports Quote:

SF was two boneheaded plays (NOT by the QB, mind you) from the Superbowl, and therefore the expectations would be IMMEDIATE to turn that corner. ... and then there's Denver, whose fans clamored for a still prettty bad QB and accepted a win streak against bad teams as an edict from God himself, and considered backing into the playoffs to be blown out by the Patriots some kind of moral victory. There is no pressure to win somewhere where no one takes the team seriously to compete for a championship anytime soon.

David Garrard in, Yeremiah Bell out... And Stephan Ross wonders why the Dolphins have the lowest season tickets sold since pre- Don Shula era. Next the Dolphins are going to give up 2 numbers 1's for Tim Tebow... The Miami Dolphins are the worst franchise in the NFL... Hell the Knicks are better run than these bunch idiots.

Make that 2 offensive linemen and at least one deep-threat receiver and the deal looks better

My biggest gripe: 5 yrs/$90M for a 36 yr old QB with 4 neck surgery, who 5 months ago, people weren't sure if he'll play in the NFL again? Correct me if I'm wrong, I was under the impression that when you get cut/released, you still make all the guranteed money thru the contract? So if after 1 year, he gets hurt and doesnt play again, he still gets all the guranteed money thru the 5 yr total? |

It’s also been said that he did not want to play in the NFC – where I seriously think he disliked the idea of being anywhere NEAR Brees, Rodgers, his brother or (to a lesser extent) Mike Vick.

I'm sure that the contract is laden with incentives and safeguards against injury, so I wouldn't sweat it that much. There's no way they'd risk such a huge sum on the possibility of Manning ending his career on the first sack of the first game.

The keys to the franchise were to be assumed with wherever he went, which is why Denver was such a strong possibility all along, given the fact that he had that luxury with Indy, which cost everyone their jobs. Look how Denver bent to Tebow's will last year. No way in hell Peyton was going to get that in Tennessee or San Fran.

Question now is, how well will he adjust to the mile high, cold weather/outdoor game?
Also, you think theyll try to get Hines Ward? I'm surprised nobody has signed him yet... |

The consensus is that he's going to announce his retirement. It's more likely that they'll tender Mike Wallace. The deadline is April 20th. EDIT: Breaking news. Hines Ward retires. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...-steelers-ward Quote:

^^^HAHA...but remember, he made the Broncos a playoff team!!! I would laugh my ass off if Smith got too butt hurt and decide to say F-you 9ers, then they got Tebow. Then what if Harbaugh makes his magic again, turns another suspect QB into a real playoff QB?
Syke...Tebow will never be an NFL quality QB. One thing will always stand out that says it will never happen. Average completion rate for ALL QB last year was roughly 63-64%, Tebow was around 46%!!! |

I dont have a problem with alex smith coming back if he can "manage" us to another playoff.
I will NOT accept tebow as a game winning QB in any sense of the words.
