Your parked in the car park and as usual car pulls in the spot next to you and you start to get twitchy and feel a bead of sweat appear on your brow. And then the inevitable - BUMP! as the clumsy discourteous a-hole gets out of their car and slams their door into yours , locks up and walks off seemingly oblivious. Damage or not what d`ya do?
Cos it happens 50% of the time i park in congested areas like that. There may be no damage but there is something about that bump and judder as their door slams into your pride and joy that makes me feel like commiting murder. Needless to say since i bought the SX i have not parked in a carpark (at least not in the congested areas anyway). I sat in the car yesterday and watched a middle age lady try to park against the kerb in between 2 cars. She turned into the space, reversed a bit further in, drove forward and bumped the car in front and reversed and bumped the car behind. Then got out and walked off. Not my f*cking car your not you silly cow! |

That really gets on my nerves. It's like some people don't have any respect for other people's property. They think just b/c they drive a POS, everybody else must treat their cars the same way they do. I was sitting in a parking lot one time in the Z-71 I use to drive and this old ragedy piece pulls up and the lady swings the door open and slams it into my passenger door. I wasn't feeling too froggy that day for some reason and didn't want to get charged with assault so I just gave her the old one finger salute. If that ever happens to my 240 I swear if it even scratches it, I'm calling the police and filing a damage report or something and make them pay for me a new paint job.

Thats about where i`m up to. The a-holes always say " there`s no mark" so about 4 times now i`ve got out and inspected the door. And if i find the slightest mark i`ll relish taking there insurance details and making a claim.
A bit naughty but one time when i was a feisty wipper snapper teenager like you chappies i was at work and my car was parked about fifty feet away in a carpark in a retail park. A brand new nissan micra parked next to my car and a few people got out. One of them slammed his door so hard into my car i thought his bleeding door would have bent. I mean he might as well have hit it with a bloody stick. And walked off without an apology or a kiss my a*se. So when he`d gone i took a stanley blade and dug an inch long present into his door. Now that guy knows what it feels like to have his pride and joy tainted . Now i am the most courteous respectful driver on the road but when you get totally disrespected you get angry or even RIGHT? |

Then i see this women in a BMW coming up along from behind and i take a sharp intake of breath cos she seems about an inch away from my side. And she continued at that distance right past battering my wing mirror back like thats what they`re for. And as usual drives off like nothing happened. I mean JJJJJJJJJEEEESUS CCCHRIISTTTTTTTT!! did you get to collect any damages from her?? i've only had my car for about a month now...either way, all i know is, i'm taking this guy to court for hit and run, and making his company pay for the paint job...if only i had a friend who worked in the insurance industry...>=)
Seriously, people in chicago DO NOT know how to drive at all. They think they rule the world..slow ass ladies in their bimmers driving in the left lane, 18 wheelers who think that they are sport cars...i once saw a truck try to go under a low tunnel...and there was a sign that said, no trucks allowed..hahaha...i laughed my ass off when i saw that... |

I was driving in rain in my previous car when this lady in an ambulance van decided to suddenly switch lanes. I slammed on my brakes and turned my wheel only to meet with the light pole. She just kept on driving. My bumper came off the car, so I had to put it into the car and go after her. I caught up with her and she gave me this story on how she'll lose her job and she'll have nothing to eat if I make a claim. So on and so forth. My axle broke, I needed a new alignment and a new bumper. I tried filing a police report and they told me it can't be treated as an accident since there was no vehicle impact. So... I got screwed-big time. I decided from now on, I'll just let people hit me if it's not my fault. So... yeah. |

Im sitting in the car one day talking on my cell phone and listening to the radio. This huge guy opens the door to his van and hits my car, he then proceeds to get into the van, his weight causing the van to rock up and down WITH his door touching mine so its scraping up and down the side of my car!!!
It wasnt until after I slid the window down and started screaming at him that I realized he was about 80yrs old, he looked really scared and closed the door fast, and then I felt kind of bad but....... Jesus Christ it pissed me off! |

man..who cares if they are 80 or 16?? They have to be responsible for their own actions and it's their fault if they screw up. S13grl..so what if she would get into trouble and all that?? We work hard for our own money and we have to pay for other people's mistakes? i don't think so...like i said,..i'm gonna try to sue the taxi company on whatever grounds i can...especially leaving the scene of the accident...

You should! I really didn't have too much basis to sue this woman on, lol. My insurance company and the Chicago Police Department said it was the same thing as "hitting a pothole"-Cause of nature-it was slippery. Well, it wasn't nature that switched lanes suddenly without a signal and caused me to slam into the curb and a light pole, but... no one wanted to listen to a kid, so... I got screwed! But that was a long time ago... I get to have a 240 and I'm extra careful now!
