RB25det in limp mode please help!
Ok i just helped my friend swap a series 1 rb25det into his s13, and it will start up and idle fine but will not rev past 2500rpm I can't figure out why it's doing this!
1. We cleaned the maf. 2. Checked for boost leaks and there were none to be found. 3. As for the wiring we bought a brand new pre-made harness from (Wiring Specialties.com) The only thing that I can think of is that the maf is bad??? And the ECU is for a Series 2 Neo Rb25det and we have a Series 1 Rb25det with a Series 1 Harness I don't know if that will make a difference or not. Please Share Your Thoughts Guys! |

It sounds like a MAF issue, did you guys try another MAF? Also, did you pull any code out of the ECU? From the quick search I did, some folks say you should be able to use S2 ECU on an S1 harness/engine but you can't use an S1 ECU into an S2 setup.
But if you need an S1 ECU and MAF, lemme know. I just pulled mine out for a PFC and a Z32 MAF. |

sorry for the late post. And no we don't have a extra maf to check if that is the problem and we can't use a z32 maf because we have nothing to retune the ecu! And no code from the ecu we just put on a friends rb25det and it worked fine! but he has the z32 maf with a apexi neo for a tuner
