Well. What internet connection do you have? I'd personally like to know, so I could limit sizes of pictures on my site, or other sites I build (UltraPure Group's, ect.) I am sure that WeST or others could find this info useful too!

I will go first. I have RoadRunner Cable connection, running at 2.5Megs per second, and download speeds at 600k/sec.
Downloaded the 1Mb file in 3.3 seconds.

BTW! Vote with your connection speed, because download speeds vary with servers.
If you don't know, here is a speed test:

ISP = Roadrunner

1.9 megs/sec

580 kb/sec

(according to the test)

I've reached peak download speeds of about 900k/sec, but that's off really fast university servers (TT, UTEP, MIT, etc.)

I have Shaw Cable and I downloaded the 1 Meg in 7.6 seconds at 1.1 megs/sec. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

That should be about right considering that I'm downloading crap at the mommet.

College LAN, it's pretty fast until they cap it. Sometimes I DL at almost a MB/sec, sometimes it's slower than dial up <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
