I'm getting into this problem (not sure we can call this a problem)

I love convertable car, but I'm not sure if it's really a good idea to change my S14 SR powered 350HP for a stock Eclipse Spyder.

My car is a sleeper right now, stock 15" wheels (240SX base) not lowered, nothing that make it look like a low 13 second car...

It's look and fun vs Power! What would you choose?

Either I make my car more nice , T-top, 17" Mag...or I change car

Sounds like your on the hunt for some T & A.
But I don't really think you can have your cake and eat it too. T-Tops = custom=big $$ I think this comes down to if you want the women or you want respect, if you already got it at least.

Do us all a favor and stay away from the convertible turbo pig and stick with the 2,4.

They make a convertible s13 by the way. Transfer all the parts. Its a automatic though.

Conclusion: Stick with what you already got. My .02c

Because I like to see outside, I know it might not make sense..but it does for me!

I love that freedom feeling of a convertable...but since it would be too hard to do it, I tought that a T top would be ideal.

Worst case a "rag roof top" or folding roof they call it!

I have to agree with Nate, keep the SR S-14 and get a cheap convertible like a Miata. If you want T & A, trust me you can get it with the S-14. Don't get a T-top, and just go for the looks to match the power. Plus a nicely done S-14 make heads turn unlike a stock Eclipse Spyder.

Thanks guy, I might end up doing this.....keeping my car and having a cheap 1990 1.6 liter miata...anyway, when I want power I'll drive the Silvia!

Yesterday night I spoke to someone who told me that he tried 2 Eclipse Spyder GST before he bought is Eclipse (non Spyder GST)...he said that both car he tried had a lot of rattle...way too much for him , so he bought the coupe.

GST are whoreable, FWD sucks BIGTIME with all the power you can put down. My friend had a 350HP GSX and I have a 320HP s14, and I must say I loved both cars, but being im a RWD 240 fan I voted for the 240.

Doin a T-Top conversion isnt very practicle. You will lost lots of support from frame rails that will have the be re worked in order to fit the T-Tops.
