It is no more than an 8th inch thick, there is literally nothing for it to conflict with and it has damn near the same look and texture as the factory dash, I'll get some more pictures today

Hmmm well it came out great, the only con i see is that you can get uncracked dashes for 100 bucks. I see them go for that all the time. BUT i also live in florida where 240s are everywhere, compared to as if you lived in Nebraska so to say, you will not be finding people with uncracked dashes better yet s13s so this would be a great alternative. Good find. Get us more pictures = )

Yeah you can definitely get a clean dash for 100, that's what I paid for the one in my white car that had 0 cracks 2 years ago, now it has an 8 inch crack above the cluster, so yes good point you can pay 100 for a dash that will crack eventually or you can just spend the extra 70 dollars and never have to worry about it again

These things have been around for years.
Rather get my dash leather wrapped for just a little more. Would look tons better too.

I think this is a basic fix for us guys that don't have the time to pull our dash out and have it wrapped or flocked by a professional.
Good find, I've been around for a while and I didn't know about these.

$170 shipped is a good price, i'm just lucky to have 2 minty blk dashes stored for my interior conversion.

I don't see why you guys are comparing this to a stock dash. They really aren't interchangeable, there is a different audience for the cover vs stock dash.
There's the "want to be stockers". And there's the "not want it to look like shit-ers". I'd pay more for this thing than a stock dash because I know how fragile the stock dashes are. Buy it once and never deal with it again. Next excuse I have to pull my dash I'm getting one of these. |

Volkswageny?
Not sure what you mean by that, but it leads me to assume you've never seen a leather wrapped s13 dash and how great they look. I agree it's a fairly priced and easy fix. Luckily my dashes are in great condition. If a crack appears I can repair it. If it gets to the point that I feel I need a replacement I'll have a spare dash leather wrapped for just a little over $200.

I was thinking I really wanted one a while back, but decided just to find a mint dash instead. I'm super particular about my interiors and like them super clean, fresh, and original material. HOWEVER, I think this would be a perfect upgrade to clean up a drift car, or DD. Fitment looks spot on and really does change the overall effect, after sitting in so many 240s with hideous dashboards. Thanks for the review slow40!!!

i mean the bottom line is its a cheap simple replacement and if you got in the car and i didn't mention it you would never notice that it was a cover lay if say you are a female lol, any 240 dude can run up on me and tell me my dash isn't real or whatever but i could care less its my daily, i think it looks great and it was cheap and simple, i was just trying to help out i wasn't trying to make this a sales pitch or anything lol

The gab is obvious all around the vent areas, where it meets towards the radio/shifter bezel, and at opposite ends of the dash where the door panels meet with the dash.
It's not "OH MAH GAWD" gap, but even non-detailed folks could easily tell something is off about your dash. Still looks pretty decent though. S30 guys have the same type of dash cover as their dashes are known to pretty much fall apart in the sun.

I got one from JC Whitney for $125 shipped just 3 weeks ago. Cannot tell it from stock until you are less than 1 foot away, and even then it is just the line by passenger knee that is visible. Texture looks very OEM.
I am super-anal about my interior and if this thing looked even slightly bad I would have returned it. IMO this is not for DD only, it looks great. |

The only thing that would bother me are the two defroster vents by the A-pillars, has anyone tried to pop out those two vents and place them on top of that cover?

Or you can take the time to fix your dash and not have to deal with the sunken vents which apparently bug more than just me.
