You just need to trim the lip of the bumper support from left to right (driver to pass). Trim about 26mm from the inner lip and the FMIC will slip right into place. The bumper support will look like you never touched it once it has been installed.
the bumper is a different story... ~m

Just connect the other end to the intercooler piping. I tapped a nipple into my hotpipe and it works just fine.
I used a 11/32 drill bit for the initial hole and a 1/8npt barb fitting with hose end. |

As far as the battery goes you can either go with a smaller (miata) battery up in the front, or relocate it. I ran the smaller battery for about a year before I relocated. The relocation frees up alot of room in the engine bay and it looks a whole lot cleaner. Just run 0/1 gauge wire to the trunk. Get a distribution block in the engine bay for the positive connection, and a grounding kit to make it even easier. I would recommend running an inline fuse if you go with 0 gauge wire like myself. I grounded the battery to the spare tire mounting location in the trunk. Then I grounded the engine ground block to the chasis.
You can see my ground distribution block on the passenger side of the firewall. |
