modding a J30 dash into a s14?

So I have a spare black j30 entire dash and console and I must say it looks a hell of alot better than the stock s14 dash... I measured it and its within a 1/8 of an inch fitting side to side, wondering if anyone has tried any other dash swaps in a 240sx... door pannels would have to be custom, but damn I like the infiniti look alot better.

I just did a s14 dash in my s13. Not quite the same...but anyway...it seems like there are a few different ways to do this.

You can use JUST the dash cover and console. And adapt all the s14 mounting points to the new cover.

Or you can get the dash support bar and the side mounting brackets from the j30 and just mount them to the side of the car and the tranny tunnel. that might be easier..

Also you have to pick which steering column you will use...you might not get much adjustability with the s14 column if its in the wrong spot. The s14 column mounts to the dash bar and the firewall...so if the j30 column is even the right size (and mounts the same way) you would either need to chop that mount off a j30 or make an adapter for the back two mounting points. Unless you luck out and its all the same. lol.

Good luck, post pics..
