Would you know if you had a rb26 ?
LOL
so i get this call from a person interested in my s14. ok se we talk about it and then he tells me that he had one before. He said it had a skyline motor and i asked him which one, his reply was " the awd one " ok...... He then said that he let his gf drive it and she crashed it. Thats when i knew he was full of it, i then started asking him some simple questions and he didnt know shit. I asked him if his car was a 2.6 inline 6 and didnt fucking know. said he needs to ask his uncle.

OMG if I had a nickel for every customer that calls and says this
customer: yes I'm looking for an RB26 me: ok, which one? customer: the RB26 me: ok, like I said which RB26 customer: the RB26 that comes with the skyline me: ok ok, I'll stop messing with you dude, but you do realize that there's different years of the RB26 motor right? customer: Uh...... no, I just want the RB26 motor swap. Then I tell them the price and their usually like "ummm yeah I don't have that much right now, but I'll call you back in a couple of months." Still haven't heard from any of them. LOLz awesome. |

It makes no sense why people feel the need to B.S. about stuff like that. Are people that insecure that they need acceptance from a stranger?
Its amazing how many civics/integra's i see that are "type R's" but whose hoods are broken and cant be popped......

well a lot of the american kids who grow up on bases in japan are exactly like that. you can pick up r32 gts-t's for < $1000. kids buy them just because they're skylines and know nothing about the motor. then they move to the states and tell everyone they had a skyline in japan

ha one thing ive been noticing lately...people fucking lie alot. since ive been in college and got out of my town and circle of friends I notice that a shit load of kids at my college just lie and stretch stories for no reason. maybe just to make conversation...maybe to sound cool idk. Ive caught my room mates telling stories about things i was there for and stretching them way beyond what happened....and these kids seem to lie when they really have no reason too. maybe the guy was just hoping youd think he was cool

yes, there is a good chance i would know if i had a 26.
i meet people like that all the time. i used to ask the most off the wall questions to try and trip them up. now i just kinda change the subject. i really dont care to hear anyone tell me BS, and expect me to act interested in what they're saying.

Its the wife's car. RB25DET but attached to a shietomatic cuz she doesnt wanna learn to drive stick. Then again, I dont blame her, traffic here is HORRIBLE. Anyways, I just picked this up...well minus the rims. Got a fully built S15 setup, all Cusco Suspension and Target Bodykit. |

haha, funny thought of the day, Target Makes Body Kits? I know what ya ment though.
I love the Type R ones like stated above. Local guy around here has a Type R wing, front end and all badges. Swears up and down to me its a Type R. Told him he was missing a lug on all four corners. Looks down and says, nope, all four are on each corner. Thats when I calmy walk away in laughter. (Type R's are 5 lug for those who didnt know.) |

Beats of somebody telling me they have a Type-R and then following it up with "yah it had a B18/vtec swap in it." Im like huh? why would a Type-R need a B18/Vtec swap, it already got a B18 thats vtaaak.
