DOUBLE DRAGON ANYONE?!?! FUCK YES!!! Anyway, do want to see this movie, but I need to get my car running by this coming Friday, as I got a contract job to do, and I definitely cannot rely on only 1 car anymore, since the wife has to work too, so I might not get to see this movie at all while in theater... Sad panda face... |

this movie was so retarded.. my boy was telling me to go see it saying how good it was, I should of known better.. I'm an old school gamer, and still play games but I'm an adult and if I'm gonna spend money to see a movie it needs to be good.. this movie is an aquired taste and is really for comic book kids and video game guys who still get excited with bouncing breats in doa, lol.. if your a normal person don't bother..

There are a lot of people in here saying this movie was bad/sucked/etc., but then they name the reasons why, and immediately, it is apparent that they have never seen the actual comic, and they're actually expecting like, character development, back story, srs bzns, etc.
I'm sorry, but this movie is based on a comic book, and it takes a lot of cues from it, as well as elements from videos games and the such, so knowing that, and if you decided to still go see it, how can you be let down by those same elements? It's like someone not studying for a test, then getting a bad grade, and then blaming the test for being too hard, even though you knew in advance that by not studying you're more than likely going to bomb it. |

Besides the point, you don't even have to have touched any of the books to watch this. They give enough information to move the story. Lingerie? Instantwin. |

Honestly, I have never even heard of the comic books until I watched the Comic-Con coverage by G4, and they had mentioned it.
I knew the movie couldn't have just magically come from a brilliant Hollywood director from thin air; I mean I sort of knew it had to have been a comic book movie, but I had no idea how "cutesy" the type of style/art the comic book had, which made the movie instant win just from watching the trailers. Shit, even without knowing what the movie was about, the trailers made it look pretty damn funny. So yeah, for all those of you that are taking this shit way too seriously, please go kill yourself because apparently you don't know what "fun" is anymore, so why live? |

I didn't read the comic but I loved all the parody of the hipster/indie scene and all the classic game homages.
It was just fun, fast paced, and witty. Plus, it had a great soundtrack. I actually didn't hate Michael Cerra for the first time since Arrested Development either.

So you weren't one of the people this movie was targeted towards. Big fucking whoop. Basically your review of this movie didn't count. If someone that was into everything that this movie was about, i.e. played all the videos games this movie referenced, read the comics, etc., basically being one of the people this movie was targeted towards, and they saw it and disliked it, then maybe I'll take their review seriously. Youmad cause your inner child has died. |

If you put the dude that was in Zombieland into this film instead, would it magically have been a better film?
I don't think so. |

I fucking loved this movie! It was hilarious and awkward. One of the few movies i would go to the theatres to see again. Favorite movie of the year thus far. I love sex bob-omb & all the music for the movie was awesome. It made me want to go out, buy & play bass. I loved the knives character, besides her being 17.

Went into watching the movie with no idea what it was about.
First ten minutes of the movie had me laughing a 'wtf?' type of laugh. Then after I was accustomed to what type of movie it was, I kept laughing and enjoying it til the end. The vegan thing was hella funny too. hahaha. I would definately watch it again, as well, maybe even buy it once it comes out on DVD (blueray can kiss my ass). Only people I could see not being able to fully enjoy it, are people who have never played a video game, watched anime or kung fu hustle, and is a totally serious bear. I liked the movie, so yeah. Speaking of Kung Fu Hustle, if you liked that movie, it is along the same line of humor.
