Emo? Emo is a term used by mainstream kids who like to dog underground bands because they really dont know the scene. The funny thing is that the majority of kids knocking bands only hear shit from MTV and other popular sites. How about some of you actually pay 10 bux, go to your local venue and get in the pit for awhile? It sure beats buying MCR's album that you just heard on mtv but in reality came out over 4 years ago.

Oh so Emo kids dont consider themselves emo? Then what is it called? Please enlighten me oh wise one. Tell me some "underground" emo bands and I will download their shit and tell you what I think. Ive heard alot of "Emo" type music when I use to date this girl that was really into it. I think most of it is horrific and childish! Something maybe someone in highschool would listen to like NSYNC or the Backstreet Boys. It hurts my ears to hear it but thats just my personal taste. I guess since I dont do drugs and I dont hate my life its hard for me to get into it.

I don't really have anything against "Emo" music or anything, the style def. isn't me. But, wear what you want I don't care. When it started to get really popular I undulged my g/f a little at the time and wore girlpants ONCE for her. But, that's cuz she said they made my ass look better...I didn't wear them again, because they just aren't comfortable to me at all. Not enough room down there, and I can't really move like I do in my slacks or some other jeans. I can't dance well in them.

I sang some of the music for a while. My family is really into music, and since I don't play anything I have to have a good voice. I still do all of my vocal exercises and my voice is in as good as condition as it was when I sang in school. I have an incredibly large range, and I can adapt to a lot of different vocal styles...so, I was able to sing it all really well. That got me a good amount of interest from some girls. But, it's just not me.

Like I said, I have nothing against it at all. And, all music is good in it's own way. There is no universal-textbook way to judge music. Same with style, dress how you want, I don't mind as long as you aren't trying to put girl pants on me or anything. My taste just isn't that. Personally, I like the vocal-trance/dance/house/progressive, I like cantopop like my other thread about Jacky Cheung, I like a good deal of Korean and HK music, along with some American rock. Dress how you feel comfortable and yourself. I like to wear a little nicer/dressier clothes, my friends tell me I have style kinda like those asian pop groups like Shinhwa or DBSK. But, that's just me...and how you dress is just you.

Same with girls, people have different opinions of what is attractive. Me, I'd like to find a nice traditional asian girl that I can share my interests with her and my passions. I like the modest looking/cute girls. I understand the importance of sharing passions with the person you want to be with, so if this music is you passion I'm glad you can find attractive girls that share that passion for yourself. More power to everyone, whether you listen to the music or not.

The only people I have a problem with are the people who are dressing and going with it simply because they want to be part of the "in" group. But, I think dislike of posers is universal.
