Did you really just quote something from 2009? Not only old as shit, but you didn't read more than 2 posts into the thread?
What? On topic, I just want to get in the 11s by the end of the year.

This thread is for those of us who own 240's and don't like to slide our cars.

Can we ban all thread that read the following?
1 How Fast is my car? 2 How much power is my car? 3.How much is this worth? 4.How much drift is this? 5.How much smoke will this setup make? 6.How much death will I inflict when I lose control of this sh*tbox and kill people trying to be F&F3/4/5/&6 etc... And from a Drag guy...you should know, it's all up to your left foot and your right hand. (if you're in the US) go runt he bish, then come here for feedback not the other way around. People ALWAYS ask me, "how much power will this setup make?" Well it will make "500 hp if it was built by hand by HKS in Japan in a vacuum" But built by you snorting blow all weekend, not sleeping, cutting your hands up and using 20 year old hand me down tools and using Air Cond Ducting for an intake and PVC piping for IC pipes? It will make ??????, I wont know until I get the rollers going. Same line of thinking....

Drifting isnt the only thing our cars can do , HP isnt everything, suspension tuning and driving skill is key to getting the most out of a car be it high power or low power.
so those who want to say this is pointless, well your post is pointless in the purpose of this thread! |

It's called time attack. That is the only way you get the most out of everything you just mentioned.

for drag racing purposes: stock springs or hks drag coils. the majority of other coilover systems are just too stiff and do nothing more than wheelhop or blow the tires off.
dont mess around on street tires. get some drag radials at least and stop ruining the track for everyone else who has drag radials and slicks as far as motors go, its all personal preference/budget. as far as launching goes that all depends on your motor, your suspension, your tires etc. there are too many variables |

You are pretty much correct!
We have made a few drag specific coilovers that have spring rates condusive to drag racing. We also revalve the coilover extensively in the rear to have a faster compression rate and a slower rebound rate. This makes a huge difference in 60 ft times Quote:

im not a big drag person but ill tell you what i have seen or experienced.
A stock suspension S13, Mostly stock redtop, with decent street tires can pull a solid 2.0 60 foot. Most people i have seen with a Kaaz 16 plate and supension, and DR's can pull 1.8 60' pretty easy and 1.7 is very possible. Again with a mostly stock SR. I was pulling 2.0's and running 13.70's Simular S13 with a mostly stock SR, kaaz pulled 1.7 60' and ran 12.40's The exact set up i dunno. But this shows what small changes can do as far as drag racing. This thread could be very useful if there was enough info shared. Three tenths off your 60' and it will make a dramatic overall difference in 1/4 miles times.

Hey I saw you at the track a few weeks back @ irwindale. I was in the silver s13 hatch on Volk mesh, what were you running in the coupe never got a chance to watch your run? My best time there was [email protected](t25 sr20 @ 15psi ARC SMIC) but I kind of wish there were a road track around here because I would much rather run my car on some time attacks, Drag gets boring.
