What's not needed for motorsports in the engine bay?
Hello guys I am currently in the process of rebuilding my KA24E SOHC and I'm wondering what I don't need for a track purpose car. I will not be driving this car on public roads, it will only be used on the track. So what is everything I can delete to clean up my engine bay with unnecessary stuff that's not vital to how the engine runs?

lol im just yanking a fellow locals chain.
Remove the emission equipment, ac components, power steering is really up to you, like someone else said you could remove the wiper motor since vegas doesn't rain, convert clutch fan to electric fan/removal of shroud. |

I also find this hard to believe. The OP didn't give any class he is going to compete in, and he still uses a KA24E. On a race car. No one in their right mind would do that, unless forced to - either by class rules or lack of money. Since no class is mentioned, lack of money remains. Which is not compatible with the price of a trailer and the need of a tow rig, so i don't believe the OP either. |
