First, shit like SAW is already up to what, its 6th or 7th film? really?
then this. Yet another lame and ricestastic fast and furious...
as if that wasnt enough, all hollywood is doing now is coming up with remakes about everything, and lame ass "comedys" (meet the spartans???? epic movie???)

Hell, use that money to bring Sergio Leone back from the grave, give him half the budget of what a summer blockbuster costs, and he will make a movie that will kick all sorts of ass and make people realize that movies like the ones mentioned above result in shrinkage and loss of manliness

2-nice cars, but shitty acting & story line
4-nice cars, stupid ass story line
3-too much story line & not enough action
5-Universal will continue to make movies that continue to make money, its as simple as that. It doesnt matter if they are stupid as fuck or not, its all about the benjamins

Whatever you spend your money on they will make more of.
There are so many people on this forum that say they just want specil effects and explosions and zombies.

So awesome movies like Moon dont make shit for money because people cant be bothered to actually use their brain and get mentally involved in a movie/script.
so they just give people visual fodder.

Look at the dialog from movies like back to the future and jaws.
Almost everyline and conversation has something to do with the plot and will be important later on.(this is called bookending. something said early on will be wrapped up).

now days, the dialog is just a bunch of talking that has nothing to do with anything, then they will blow some shit up in 3D and everyone is stoked.

good movies aren't necessarily the most profitable.

Here's a fun article I read recently.
Even absolute SHIT films like "G.I. Joe" (worst studio film of the year imo) will get the studios around 150 million.
Good films will get you maybe 50 million, if you're lucky.

The movies are entertaining for sure, but like others have said, I kinda have to turn my brain off if I want to be able to watch them.

However, I don't see how any of you can hate on these movies. They have been excellent at keeping the value of our cars slightly higher. And while I'm not sure how it is everywhere, at least in my area, cops don't fuck with tastefully modified cars for no reason. So really, just the posers who have been influenced by the movies get to enjoy the higher prices on 13~22 year old 240's as we move onto bigger and better things. Additionally, they usually make it easy for a true enthusiast to spot and avoid them anyway.

meh the movies like most people say are entertaining. its the idiots who watch them and then try to drive retarded out of the movies and run over someones kid on the sidewalk..that is the problem. since stuff like that happens out in my wonderful area, the cops to harass pretty much any modded import lol.

Ha my Wife loves them all. We just watched number 1 last night for fun.

We'll be there to watch it in the theatres like all the other people looking for a movie with poor acting and cool cars.

...Maybe they should increase the amount of random hot girls in raves this time. That would make it a much more fun movie to me .

Lol. Yeah dude. Its true right? After F&F 1 all these guys with new camaros, stangs, srt's, civics....etc. All fresh off the lot into a death trap on the street. Lots of ants for the real drag guys to step on though.

Then after Tokyo drift. Everyone knew what drifting was. It still cracks me up when some FF guys claim they used to drift with their cars "back in the day". At least with drifting you can recognize the genuine people versus the ones that talk to much.

I do love every car movie though. Just wish there wasnt the tag along groupie wanna be's that come with it. Its a free world and you choose your faith. lol

I hear it all the time about the FF drifting stories at work... I just ignore it and tell them that's cool, don't feel like putting them on blast, haha. I can't wait for Fast Five, Fast and Furious movies are comedy to me, thats how i see those movies.
