s14 door problem

I have a 97 240sx and my door started to not want to shut, i closed the door and got it to latch by turning the key while closing the door. When i got home to try to fix the problem my door will not open, its been a while now and the door still refuses to open with anything i try. I don't know how to fix it because i cant get the door open to get to the latch. If anyone else has had a problem with this or has any advice please let me know.

did you try the nearly opposite?
Open door by putting key in and holding it in the unlocked position while trying to open the door.
If that doesnt work my s13 had the same issue, theres a little pin that locks in place when it's pushed to a certain point. Maybe you had the opposite thing happen to you. Door wont open, mine wouldnt close cause the pin was in the locked position.

Honestly cant remember how the hell I got in unlocked. But I think thats the issue.

yeah i tried using the key to open it too, i have no idea what to do. i really wanted to avoid taking both the seats out to get the door panel off, but i really don't think i have many more options.
