yet another LSD question

ok i have a 89 s13 coupe and i just did a sr swap and im gonna need lsd. im looking into gettin a z32 just to get me by until i can get the tomei 2-way. is there anything i'll need to do the z32 lsd or will it bolt right up to my open diff?

if anyone has suggestions please list them thank you

If your just looking for a temp fix just weld your open diff. No point in buying one if your gonna use it for a bit then det something else.

open the LSD up and shim it, check out the "shimming LSD" thread

you wont even need to buy another lsd.

I too would just weld yours till you got the money for the tomie. I dont like the vlsd at all. I do have the tomie 2 way from eat motorsports and it is amazing! Kinda loud though.

Don't bother trying to swap a vlsd in your open diff housing. It'll get pricey. You don't just bolt it into the housing, you have to set-up the bearing pre-load and gear pattern. You would be better off finding a vlsd that is already in the housing and just swapping the pumpkin.

well, were i live i can get a vlsd rear end for 75$. So If you can i would say go to a junkyard and pick up a vlsd, maybe a small shim and good oil and your set.
