i think i passed with my car because i had an exhaust leak and all the air wasent hitting the sniffer. o well i passed and he didnt seem to care

I would try taking out the the whole egr system and clean it out thoroughly before buying a new egr. also, if u could take out the whole intake manifold and give that a nice clean with carb cleaner or brake cleaner. Usually when people buy new egr's they end up still failing.

You can also test your egr by connecting it to a fluid pump and it should stall out the motor.

thanks bro. But yea, for the maf. I read it from some other thread or w/e that a bad maf could mess with the fuel mixture. so I went to get the maf tested and it was bad.

Damn that sucks CA is so damn strict with smog. I love the fact that montana has no emissions at all. You just register your car insure it and drive it. Doesnt matter if your running open headers on an old 350.

Shit yeah we do. And most of the girls here know how to drive a stick and shoot a shotgun no problem.

Does anyone know where to find a diagram of how the PAIR valve hoses should be hooked up (box on driver's side strut tower). I failed visual for not having one and looked in the factory manual and couldn't find anything. Thanks

smog sucks...none of my 240's every passed legally..i took my 87 na rx7 to smog and it failed (no shit right) the guy wanted to keep trying so he let me run the car on the rollers to heat up my stock cats and then i unplugged my fpr vacuum and the damn thing passed legally..

its the little things that will make a difference...that CRC shit always helped my friend pass smog on his single cam..but then againa everytime he did smog for that car he cleaned out the whole egr system and used a new o2 censor
