I did the wiring myself. It wasnt as bad as Ive heard. I deleted a few connectors and wires to clean it up, then tucked it under the intake manifold for a clean look. I hooked it up to a switch panel.

Komokun, the vvti 1j already comes with the r154 extended so I didnt have to do anything. I have had to extend earlier 154 trans by 3 inches for other peeps tho.

Thanks guys, glad everyone like whats going on so far!
I picked up a new Apexi Pfc Djetro kit. Pretty sweet it comes with a 3 bar map sensor stock instead of a 2 bar like the older pfcs. Iat sensor, and sub harnesses round out the rest of the kit.

Lookin good man! Will never forget going for a ride in your old RB s13 with your two dogs in the back haha... probably one of the fastest cars I've ever experienced. Can't wait to see this thing tear it up at the track.

Its actually not that bad. Google "1jz vvti wiring", first one up is on supra forums. This is a good thread to read. Get a multi meter if you dont have one and trace the wires back.

I was able to dyno test the downpipe I made vs stock. Same day, same dyno, no other variables changed at all. Stock ecu, stock wastegate, 3 inch exhaust, Garrett fmic, all stayed the same. Gained 22lb/ft and 26hp just by switching the pipe.

Good build. Same build I'm doing minus I'm using a 66mm turbonetics and 1000cc injectors, plus completely refreshed engine. Fab work looks good, I'll be making all my stuff as well.

Any updates on the build? Thanks again for advice on modding that stock rb25 manifold a while back. I ended up making 360whp at 1 bar with the holset. Then I went through 2 bottom ends because of oil pump failures so I'm doing a vvti 2J now.
I think it's safe to say we switched platforms for similar reasons haha.

Ok so it hase been awhile since Ive updated. Been super busy with work so I havnt been able to play as much as Id like. I have taken it to a few events to thrash around and it has been very reliable. No mechanical issues, just got a little warm at the track, but we were pounding it and didnt have much run off for cool down. Also didnt have all ducting fabbed, have since ducted and it was very cool at the Ifo event.
I have made some progress/changes here and there though. Installed the D-jet Pfc. Which includes bending a ecu tray. Ordered a new Fcedit kit. This is soooooo much better than the hand controller and has more features to play with. Data logging is awesome! Can see knock and afr and graph against boost, tps, voltage, ect ect. Worth 300 bucks all day long. Picked up two new tial wastegates. A V60 and a Mvr 44 to go along with the 42r. Thats a 5 inch inlet on the purple thang. Status: Beast Mode

Good news is I have been busy with work. That means you know the bad news, no time for the toy car. Since its not related to this thread, follow me on instagram @futurefab_jon to see whats been going on.
I did get some ID1000cc injectors, 4 bar map sensor and a walbro e85 pump. Next is some fittings for the fuel rail. I really jus need to get medical meth so I can pound out the compound kit.

It's alive!!! Brutal death to all tires who oppose!!
I finally got all this stuff togeather, and it works awesome! The little one spools hard down low and then the freight train shows up ahead of schedule and just keeps on chugging. Running 25psi on pump. Need to switch to e85 and turn it up.
