When starting the Z32 makes a loud EHHHHHHHHH noise

yup....starter? ignition? what do you guys thing when ever i turn the keys it makes a loud EHEHHHHHHH, but it if i move the stick aroundor put the e brake down and try it again it starts

happen's to my z32 too ... like the starter going out, but someone told me that the flywheel is messed up

The Starter Gear is a softer metal than the Flywheel, So the Starter gear will get torn up before the flywheel will.

so would it be a starter cause, there is no way that my flywheel is messing up, it shifts like a dream, so smooth, so my best guess is starter cause i have to push start it now

my car screams when i start it up

its the alternator belt

i pour an azz load of soap on my belts every week and it fixes it

Ok, let me run this by you. The sound you say its making....
Have you ever heard someone try to start their car when its already running? It makes a kind of grinding sound that I guess could sound like EHHHHHHHHH if it was written. Does it sound like that? If so its your starter

is it like the motor on your starter is turning but the actuater isnt being kicked out to engage the fly wheel if so most likely starter realy my z32 does that and my buddies s13 did that at a point too

yeah i have the same problem, its like a loud screeching sounds right?.. i believe its the starter because when my clutch went i had to abuse my car by starting it in gear and now i have the same thing
