hey im trying to repair my timing chain today, there nothing wrong with it but from what people told me that there was a recall on s14 because they put on this extra part on top of the timing chain which make the engine sound as if it is knocking if anyone knows about this problem please get back to me

it is the piece between the gears, It has two bolts holding it on.

Just remove the valve cover and take it out.
