U.S.Drift unleashes the "48 Hour VIRus", VIR, VA/NC February 18-19th 2006
***REQUIRED*** Due to changes in the insurance for the 2006 season and beyond. If you participate in a NASA sanctioned event you must become a NASA member (click here to join). We DO NOT receive a penny for you joining (I wish we did). To see the benefits of joining NASA, click here. Please do not waste my bandwidth bitching about it, it will not change anything. If you don't like it you can always drift elsewhere. Thank you and see you there. Also, do not enter a fake membership number in the registration field, I have to send the list to NASA prior to the event. *************** Also, if any shops would like to sponsor this event, please feel free to email me at [email protected] Event: "48 Hour VIRus" on the 1.1 Mile Patriot Course at Virginia International Raceway [VIR] 1245 Pine Tree Road Alton, VA 24520 on Saturday February 18 and Sunday February 19, 2006 Details: This is event is a two day event. The Saturday session will be held in conjunction with NASA Time Trial and therefore, results in a half day session. The Sunday session will be drifting only. You have the option to purchase a one day session for either day or a package deal consisting of both days. For both days, the sessions will be divided by skill level; advanced and non-advanced. Don't get upset if you aren't in the advanced group, this track is stupid fast and dangerous. And both sessions are driving the same course anyways. This is done so that the more experienced drivers can effectively utilize their time alloted, run tandem, and offer instruction to those willing to take it in the other session. Misc. Camping will be allowed. Air and water will be available in the Patriot paddock. Fuel and meals will be available in the Main paddock. Paddock speed limit is 3mph and will be strictly enforced. Grounds speed limit is 10mph and will be strictly enforced. Other Activities When you're not on-track during this Time Trial, there will be plenty of other things to see at VIR! NASA Mid-Atlantic will run a High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) both days on the 3.3-mile, 17-turn Full Course, as well as sprint roadracing and a 3-hour roadracing enduro on Sunday. Spectating and paddock access is free for our participants (and encouraged.) Those interested in learning more about the Full Course activities should contact [email protected] and/or visit www.nasaracing.net "Touring laps" behind a pace car on the Full Course will tentatively be available during our lunch break for an additional $10.00 per car. These are open to any licensed driver in any car or truck and offer a great way to get out and see the facility from an on-track perspective. Drifting Preregistration: 30 Driver Max per Session. $90.00 Half Day Session - Saturday, February 18th, 2006 $180.00 Full Day Session - Sunday, February 19th, 2006 $220.00 Both Day Sessions - [a $50.00 discount] Event Day Registration: Provided spaces are still available, please add $50.00 to the pre-registration price.
