those "coilovers", if they can be called, that look like garbage. Anyway, I agree with tokyonights. Save up and buy some nice stuff. If it's only for show than obviously you would want it to look nice and 18x7.5's are gonna look like crap, no matter what offset (although, I'm sure it's really high).

I have never personally had experience with them, but my friend who has ridden on them said that they are very bouncy. If you are looking for stiff setup for drifting/autox/anything, and you are on a budget and can't get coilovers, I would suggest doing aftermarket struts(kyb, etc), and aftermarket springs(tein, rs-r, etc). You could probably rock that combo for around 400$ or less depending on whether you do new or used parts. Also, there are cheap coilovers out there for around 700$ new. It really comes down to your budget, but from what I have heard, I would stay away from those you posted up if your going for stiffness. And if you are going for complete show with a drop, the setup I mentioned would still be better.
Your wheels are fine too. Its personal taste no matter what anybody says. Yes, 7.5 is skinny and the offset may be a bit high, but if you don't care about being perfect with looks right now, and want to do performance, they are just fine. Heck, everyone is judging them too without even knowing what they look like, got a picture of them? |

^^^but he said he was going for looks soooo, how the wheels look are very important. 18x7.5 +40ish is going to be super sunk. Break out the hammer and torch if you slam it even with high offset skinny wheels (since they are 18's)
Anyway, if you want adjustabilty(which you need if your going to slam it) look into Megan racing coilovers or Tein Basic's. You can get the Megan's for $900 shipped (or less if you get in on a group buy) and I think the Tein go for less. If that is out of your budget, start watching the for sale section for some used coilovers.

Since youre looking for opinions, ok.
Those "coilovers" look like crap to me. Note that they don't offer a spring rate , and they look pretty generic to me. I would stay far far away. As for the wheels, they sound equally as stupid. 18s on 240s are usually stupid unless youre willing to drop a couple grand on nice wheels with good sizing and have some fender work. If you go this route you will not look good, quite the opposite. The first thing I would think is that youre a fanboy ricer who is making a lame attempt at running after the bandwagon and got a 240 because he is a trend whore. If you want your car to look decent save up more and figure out what will actually look decent on your car without it coming off as a POS. Theres my opinion. |

In my opinion I wouldnt touch those. I would not run a sleeve type setup unless they had swift or eibachs in custom rates with an appropriate koni(8611) or whatever shock meant for those chosen rates.
You could run those, but whatever shock you put them on is gonna blow, assuming stock since you didnt mention that, which are probably already blown to begin with. I say, save some money and keep lookin. There are some damn good deals on people selling their entry level coilovers when upgrading to better ones. But, if what all I said doesnt matter to you then go right ahead and buy them. In the end, its your money and your car.

Thanks for all the non shit talking opinions and suggestions and for the shit talkers, my other car is a 2005 CADILLAC STS on 20 inch aero i-forged wheels bitch. I bought this car for an every day rider and was looking to try and budget together a simple nice looking 240 that's all, so act like an adult and let's keep it professional. Don't tell me you can't handle that. thanks to all.

if your just going for looks i'd just say get a good spring/shock combo
that way you save some money, and have a pretty comfortable ride for daily driving. Regardless of the coilovers quality, its not worth buying if you dont plan on taking the car to the track |

oppinon time,
18's look silly on an s13 espicially with dinky ass brakes behind them. and a 18x7.5'' +42 rim is not a known as good looking rim for a rwd car Lowering springs/cheap upgraded struts would be the thing to anyway. Those height adjustable springs are poopy

Don't come asking for opinions if you can't handle hearing what people think. Nobody was talking shit. If they were saying you were stupid for having those wheels and wanting those 'coilovers', that'd be shit-talking. Everybody gave their opinions. You need to get that chip off your shoulder with a quickness. |

but staying on topic. DO WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH YOUR CAR. carboy sleeve-type coilovers, you obviously dont know junk when you see it, hence the penny-saver knock. |

those wheels are a shitty size. if you bought them for 500 sell them for 500. there are 500 dollar wheels you can buy that come in much better sizing.
7.5+40mm looks baddddd at stock ride height. once you lower it, it'll look ridiculous, and not in a good way. |
