Just got done installinga Z32 NA Diff into my 97 Kouki. I used the 6 bolt Output shafter and was able to use my stock axles still....

The Longer output shaft went into the passenger side and the smaller one went into the Driver side...

After everything was installed i took a test ride..

During the test ride, i hear this weird noise, wouldnt call it grinding but some is not sounding right....

It wasnt making any noises before the VLSD went it...

While driving and in gear, it makes the noise. Once i put it into Neutral and cost down the street, the noise seems to go away or get really quite.

Anyone know what this could be?



And just to be on the safe side, the Longer shaft goes into the Passenger side right? A friend said it goes on the Driver side but it wouldnt fit on the driver side and stuck out hella far.

Did u even crack up the diff to check it out? more info about the diff plz.

Just to make sure the noise only happens when ur in Neutral? or what?
A lil video would i think.

Did you check the diff if it had diff oil, if the diff doesn't have any there's your problem right there. You can put in gear oil as well it well work.

And for your friend, NO he's wrong

I recieved the Diff from a buddy of mine. I never cracked it because he had insured me that it was in good working order. It came out of a NA Z32. I used 6Bolt Shafts instead of the 5 Bolt shafts that it came with. I put brand new Fluid in there and filled that sucked. It didnt leak or anything. We messed with it before we installed it and it was turning as how it should.

Shitty thing it i got a Drift Event tomorrow and dont know if i should still go...Damnit....

I know its pretty vague but what could it possibly be.

My 1st idea was a Bad DIFF lol

lol yea he probably ripped you off...
just get a open diff tell one of your buddies to weld it and BAM!!! your ready for tomorrow? lol
